Sat 30th August

Rain, rain go away let us play some golf today! A quick chant to the weather Gods as a small field of keen golfers set off to challenge a water soaked Callala course.

But I guess that we obviously needed more than a rhyming chant to appease the weather Gods as not long after our small field of golfers set off, the rain
again began to fall from the skies.

The decision was made to call it a win all round to the weather God and reduce an intended 18 hole single stableford to a 9 hole game.

Although only 9 holes, David Brumby stood out head and shoulders over the rest of the field coming home after 9 holes with an impressive 20 points.
Well done Dave just imagine what you could have achieved if the conditions had been more favourable and your great play had continued for 18 holes.

A nice hot cuppa with a bikky and a chat about the day’s happenings and we all headed off with hopes that Tuesday’s Vets would be played in better weather.
